in a period of a year I had 4 colds. Since I’ve re-entered the work force though I’ve had 5 colds in 4 months. I’m in remission on Stelara but am nervous about the constant virus battle. In July I was hospitalized for a “virus” that caused sob & rapid heart....nothing was determined to be abnormal so they said I had a virus.

I’m currently on 150mg of imuran. Never had a cold/flu prior to Stelara. Would reducing imuran to 100mg be advisable to curb my susceptibility to virus’s?

I take vitamins, herbs daily , eat well etc.

Thanks

I would talk to your gasteroenteroligist (if you haven't already) about this. Seems reasonable to reduce the imuran dosage within a remission.

Curious what line of work you are in?

Are you a careful handwasher after touching public objects that are common disease vectors (shaking hands, touching door handles and railings, etc etc)?

I haven’t asked him. Great that remission means I have no appointments booked! I can email him though.
Omg. I’m obsessive about hygiene. Constantly sanitizing everything/hand washing etc. Even detail my car weekly. One of the most contaminated places is the steering wheel.

Frankly, I’m also thst weird person you see sanitizing the airplane tray, buckle & my hotel rooms. Chances are if I’m a guest in your home, I’m wiping the light switch toosmile
