More people on the Crohn's forum are on it since it was just approved for UC recently. I'm probably going to try it next if weekly Humira doesn't work for me. It seems promising.

Check the search feature on this site. You’ll find a lot of information about Stelara that was already discussed many times.

I started Stelara 6 months ago for my UC and it’s working great! Previously on Remicade, Humira & Entyvio 😊

my gi told me stelara is not too effective for colitis, you can see more studies regarding using stelara for cu and crohn.

as i see based on studies stelara is mainly for crohn but i have red here more succesful story who had cu and stellara was very good for him or her.
so definettely it is worth to make a trial.

I’m on Stelara. I started it April 2nd so I’ve only had the IV dose and 1 injection. I go for my next injection on July 22nd. It’s been good so far but I was also put on Betnesmol enemas for 2 weeks which worked quickly. I had a colonoscopy 1 month ago which revealed mild inflammation. I was previously on Entyvio for 1 year and Remicade for only a couple months before building antibodies and having an anaphylactic reaction.

I just started Stelara this week. Was searching for other Stelara users myself. I developed a rash during the infusion that was brought under control with Benadryl and Decadron. I wasn't sure if I would get to continue, but my GI consulted with others at Vanderbilt, and was told it was rare for a second reaction, so we are going to proceed. Let us know how you do if you go on it.

I had my first infusion 3 weeks ago after failing Humira TOTALLY for 10 weeks (I actually got worse).

No issues at infusion and after 7 months of flaring, ughhhhh, I am seeing improvement! Am also tapering off prednisone so the Stelara is def doing the heavy lifting right now. Solid stools, no more cramping, still have urgency esp in the AM but that is usually the last thing to wrap up....starting Canasa suppositories to try and heal that last end section.

I am really fatigued though, anyone else? Could just be the disease, being sick for so long. But I really feel it more in the past 3 weeks. I mean, I can get out of bed etc, but can only do one BIG thing a day like the grocery store, or laundry, or cleaning and I need to sit down and chill!

So far so good, and everyone is different. Good luck!

TP177-tapering off of Prednisone gives me terrible fatigue.

I started Stelara today. I'm hoping it works just as well and better than Xeljanz for me. Xeljanz was great, but my Dr. and I just agreed to make the change after some new Xeljanz findings (slightly higher rates of cancer). That combined with higher cholesterol levels and increased risk of blood clots, I decided to give Stelara a try. So, fingers crossed! I'm curious if any others have recently made the change?

Also just started Stelara. First infusion last week with no issues! Tapering off pred and feeling great!

Has anyone had any problems getting the Janssen Carepath discount?

I am about to flip from xeljanz to Stelera and wonder how quickly Stelera becomes effective. I hope as quick as remicade and xeljanz but from what I read not nearly as quick.

I was taking it successfully for 1.5 years. Was symptom-free.
Last month, I started having symptoms again and am very bummed.

Talking with my doc about switching to a new biologic.
