I’ve been on Entyvio for almost a year or so and we are now going to try Xeljanz. It’s been 2 months since my last infusion now I’m having flu like symptoms and body aches, no fever. I’ve had blood work done and nothing is wrong other than high hemoglobin, and red blood cell count. But it’s nothing extremely high.
Can it be from withdraws?
No sign of UC. Had a colonoscopy in November and gastro says I’m in remission.
Just feeling terrible and fatigued every day. 🤷‍♂️

You cannot get withdrawal from Entyvio or most UC meds. The only meds that are known to give us withdrawal are corticosteroids like Prednisone/Budesonide.

I didn’t think so, but just been feeling terrible last 2 weeks. I haven’t started Xeljanz yet, waiting on Insurance approval.

Just curious -- why are you switching if you are in remission? Sorry you are feeling crappy!

Switching due to weight gain. Almost gained 30lbs in a year since Entyvio. I was an avid runner and worked out 3-4 times a a week. Still trying to run and work out but continue to gain weight. So we decided to switch to se if that helps. 🤷‍♂️.

Oh I see. I remember you posting about that now. I don't blame you for switching. That would be frustrating. I gained about the same amount but on prednisone and it sucks! I want to get back to running soon!
