Hi guys!
Gonna give a short synopsis.

Been flaring for 5 months worst flare experienced extreme nausea since the start of the flare. I controlled it with emetrol but eventually the nausea would come back. On January 15, I visited the doctor he had a few tests done. One of the tests was CRP mine was 20 and the normal is less than 8 (at this point I was not taking any meds or steroids). A month later I gave up and took the Uceris. Its been almost 17 days now I have been having the uceris I just tested my CRP its now 8.9. My question is I still have nausea and vomiting, since my inflammation is down how long will the nausea/vomiting take to go away? My bm are a bit less now but the nausea is really bad still and Ive never had this system in the other flares I have had.

Sorry you are still dealing with this. I've never had vomiting with flares. I did deal with nausea for about a year but it was only for about 20-30 minutes a day. It eventually went away on it's own. I know this isn't any help. I do hope you can figure out what is going on or that it will just go away on its own soon though. Good your CRP is closer to normal now.

Nausea is a flare symptom in about 20% of us. Yet you say a low/normalish CRP. I'd wonder if there is something else going on. Are you on a thiopurine (azathiopurine/imuran/6-mercaptopurine) as an allergic reaction to those is nausea? Has your general practitioner explored other possible reasons for this nausea?

I have never taken Imuran or any other meds. I was using ayurvedic meds from india for 4 years and was in remission. My GI made me do a esophogram and upper GI which was clear. He now wants to do a colonoscopy and endoscopy. I normally fall sick after colonoscopy and starts another flare. I am too scared to start over once again. Not sure what to do at this point.

CRP is not always sensitive to gut inflammation. I've had periods with severe proctitis yet CRP measurements consistently in the range 1-3

These were made in a small town in India. They dont have a name for them but it worked greatly for me with no side effects. A friend of mine suffered with UCfor 25 years and when she found this remedy she suggested it to me. She took a colonosocpy after 5 years and she was colitis free. Its been 10 years now no signs of UC for her.
