My trip is cancelled. I have a year to re-schedule. NYC is on lockdown. Everything closed except food stores, pharmacies. Only essential workers can go to work. Schools are closed until April 20
Lots of cases in NYC unfortunately.
I just saw this article from Yahoo which gives some hope:https://news.yahoo.com/why-nobel-laureate-predicts-quicker-210318391.html
I've been watching the new cases being reported daily, and there is still a lot of uncertainty, mainly because the process creating the numbers is not static by any means. For example, In the USA, we have ramped up testing significantly in the last week which means they are finding more new cases than previously. In Europe, the number of new cases is mostly declining which is good news, same with most of Asia. As long as the number of new cases each day is not going up exponentially, we should be OK. Exponentially (accelerating if you will) is never good when it comes to disease transmission, and as that article points out, that's what you really need to look at.
