I am 71years old. Have had UC for 40 years. Totally controlled with Aza for 16 years until 2018 then Salofalk tablets but starting 2nd flare in 12 months and about to take prednisone course .From previous conversations I know one doc will recommend restarting Aza because biologics present greater risk at my age. Other will want Biologic because he says Aza presents more risk at my age. Who do I believe?

Hmm not sure one is more risky than the other. I would ask each doc, which makes the other med more risky?

Would rectal meds be something you would use?
