CCinPA, my signature is correct except that I am currently on hydrocortisone instead of prednisone. I started going to an Endocrinologist because of horrible symptoms from suspected secondary adrenal insufficiency. I had made it down to .3 equivalent to pred, but have had to go back to .6 mg equivalent to pred because of the stress. I always have worse GI symptoms when my body is struggling with low cortisol, so I am trying to be patient to see if some of this settles down in a few days, though yesterdays 12 times doesn't make me feel optimistic. I know my GI has told me before he would try xeljanze next if Entyvio stops working. I also know his first step is pretty much always a stool test, though I am confident it will be negative.
Countess, I am extremely reluctant to do a course of Pred. I haven't had a Dexa in about two years, but I had osteoporosis from the Pred, and the illness from the adrenal fatigue has been as debilitating as flaring badly. That and even when I was on 40 mg of pred, I had pretty significant symptoms. Puzzled my GI. Did you get out of your flare from just doing that short course of Prednisone? Glad Remicade mostly works for you.
