I’m still doing very well & am actually loving the isolation time.

Very anxious as we all are but am just heartbroken but the societal effects of corona & would like to give back.

With gloves & masks is it safe to volunteer (thinking food bank) even when immune suppressed?

Thank you.

I personally would not. Here is New York, people are giving back in different ways. Some order food and send it to the hospitals for the health care workers. Some are sending food to elderly that cannot get out of their house.

That's a tricky one...i wouldn't, but you do what you think is best. Have you checked out the food bank to see what their protocol is regarding volunteering and self protection?

Any personal interaction risks spreading the virus to yourself or others. That being said, if it is essential that you volunteer for others to eat, then the risk is probably worth it. If you are just volunteering to be nice and feel good about something, but are not essential, then I'd say the risk is not worth it for you or others. You'll have to be the judge.

I personally would not volunteer right now during this critical time even with PPE. But the idea of donating food or $ would be most appreciated, and you could make a drop off to a food bank etc without direct contact.
So caring of you to think of others before yourself.
