For me, I avoid raw vegetables and really limit fruit, red meat, nuts and seeds. When I'm having issues, I stick with scrambled eggs, salmon, cream of wheat. Occasionally I have to go all liquids for a day or two. As I start to feel better shakes, blended/pureed soups. I was diagnosed with UC 16 years ago and gastroparesis 6? years ago. I lost over 25 pounds at one point. It took me over two years to gain 10 pounds back and another two years to get back to a "normal" BMI and not underweight. There was the "threat" of a feeding tube placement at one point from my GI. I've had to completely change the way I eat. I eat frequent small meals throughout the day. I can't do 3 meals a day. I have added cooked vegetables and fruit back into my diet, but sparingly.
