Right before life went crazy, I had a routine blood test done to check my iron, kidney, and liver numbers. By the time I got the results, everything had been shut down. All my results were fine except for the ALT number. The normal range is below 36 u/l (units per litre) and my reading was 39 so it was flagged. Normally my doctor would contact me when there is an abnormal reading that needs to be addressed... or if not, then I would contact her. But with everything being all Covid, all the time, I put it aside.
Yet, I keep thinking about it. Is that an alarming number? Or is it negligible? I really don't know. Does anyone know? I will ask my doctor next time I see her but is this urgent, should I try to call her ASAP?
