All,
Sharing as an update regarding DD status.
DD is scheduled for an FMT tomorrow through Colonoscopy. Reason being - Her c.diff symptoms came back half way of Difficid 10 days course.
I am optimistic and concerned at the same time because for the past 2 days - don’t know what happened - all of a sudden her bowel became normal . Only once a day , formed and little mucous layer in one of the formed stool. All her rectal pain/ irritations disappeared. She stopped lialda and enema as per GI in prep for FMT and colonoscopy. Before stopping this meds itself the improvement reflected. So I wonder C.diff is her root cause.
I am concerned as she is doing good for past 2 days - will the FMT cause any mess up as the donor stool is not from family member. Also concerned about exposed to hospital setting during this Covid pandemic.

Anyways fingers crossed and praying for a good outcome..

I am a great believer of Fmt for C-diff, the success rate is about 80 % cure rate.
I had 4 bouts of C-Diff and Vanco never really cured the problem so I was put into an FMT program at our Mc Master teaching hospital here in Canada. In the program it involved a session of FMT every 2 weeks for so many sessions and then every month for more sessions..
This was 3 years ago and I have been fine ever since

@ Limey- I am so happy for you that the FMT holding strong in you. I remember your posts in the past as very few in this forum gone through FMT.

Ty Momto2boys - Hope you are doing good too!! So far it seems DD getting better. GI said no meds for 48 hrs and then start back on lialda and will watch for 1 week. No symptoms then continue on lialda if not Entyvio.
