This is my third infusion in a row where I get a sore throat a few hours after my infusion that is gone the next day. I let my infusion nurse know about it today, and she wants me to call in the morning if it happens again like it has. I was reading over old threads, and I was wanting clarification on what sore throat as a side effect means. Does it mean like what I am experiencing, or does it mean in general you get them more easily in illness?

Hi,

I’m new to all of this but wanted to mention that in addition to reacting during my second Inflectra infusion, I had a sore throat start a few hours after the infusion. It was gone within 24 hours. As it turns out, my body has developed antibodies. The doc mentioned that the reactions could be due to my body having developed antibodies and rejecting the meds.

I didn’t fully answer your question but wanted to share a similar experience.

I have had antibodies since June of 2018. They switched me to every 4 weeks, as I had very little in my system after 8 weeks. I am usually extra tired after my infusion, and this time I just can't warm up.
