Hi guys , I am having very very severe heart burn in my right side of the chest , which I can feel in the back area more. I have tried taking ranitidine and also took some other antacid. Please recommend something which can help me control it. Please.
It is 1 AM at night and I am feeling like someone has stabbed me with a knife in my upper right back.

I know your agony! I have found that once it burns that badly, that even though I take tums and stuff like aloe vera, that it just takes some time for it to ease.

It could be gallbladder attack. Can you call your doctor?

Do not eat anything after 5pm. Elevate the head of your bed 7 inches. I take famotadine 40mg before bed and Omeprazole 10 mg in the morning. Both are available over the counter. I find eating or drinking too close to bed to be the biggest trigger for me by far.

Hey guys its 6:10 AM now , the pain is still there , it has reduced by 20% but still a lot . It started at nearly 6 hours 40 minutes before .
I have had heartburn many times in the past , but it always happened on the left side of the chest and would finish after 1-2 hours , but this time it happened in the right chest and is ongoing for the past 6 hours. Now its morning time , so I am thinking to go to my dr and if required admit myself / or get certain tests done for the same.
Hey guys , day before yesterday in evening I got high fever , I took paracetamol 650 4.5 times in the 24 hour period , so yesterday morning also I had the same pain but it got reduced when I took a antacid , than again in evening if started back and than from night 11 PM it started getting sever , I took ranitidine and a antacid composed of sodium bi carbonste and citric acid for relief but nothing happened. Any suggestions?

I think if the option is to go emergency...definitely go. Especially since you had a high fever.

Please go to your doctor. We can give you advice but we are not doctors. And keep us updated.

Go to your doctor, walk in clinic or emergency room. You could have pneumonia, pleurisy..especially with the fever!!! IF it is, you could do permanent damage to yourself by not getting it taken care of right away
