Over the years I have seen dozens of posts where people have seen their symptoms attenuated when going on a vacation. I myself have noticed the same after a weekend at the beach. I have assumed it was the lack of stress or perhaps the benefits of more sunlight.

Here is an interesting video that makes a good case that getting 'grounded' can be another reason for feeling better. Most of the examples here are anecdotal but it does mention some science.

I didn’t watch the movie yet, but I will in a couple of hours when I’m getting my infusionsmile without a doubt, over the last three years I have had pain and diarrhea, and my calprotectin levels have increased when my husband went to rehab; when my doctor didn’t phone me back, fill prescriptions or gave me a prescription without discussion, when my sister was in crisis, and other stressful events. The times when I have felt like I might be getting into remission were when I was less worried about my health and external events.

I have had the same exact experience. I could never explain how and why I would experience a complete absence of symptoms when out of the country, especially. I always assumed it was because I was less stressed, which I am sure is a big part. But maybe there is something to this too.

I've always been described as a very grounded person. Didn't help me with my immune system unfortunately. Happy to hear others have received benefit...
