Metamucil shortage?

Is anyone else having a hard time finding Metamucil these days? Actually, I would say for months now, off and on. Even store brands are out right now. Can't find it online. What's up with that??

We get the capsules from Costco when on sale.... used to get Superstore brand, but none to be found and not on their list to get any in. There are other brands you could try, dont get WalMart brand...something i there that was unnecessary. I dont know the cost, so I'll be looking into maybe Now brand... Metamucil is ka-ching!!

So maybe it's just in my area. I sent them an email but have yet to hear back.

Quincy, I don't like the capsules so I use the powder. I tried the Superstore generic brand and it is awful, so I don't mind paying more for the Metamucil brand. I usually wait for it for it to go on sale but now it's just not around, sale or no sale.

Never knew of this website, thanks for the suggestion. All the Metamucil powders are "sold out". Interesting. So it's not just the stores in my area. Maybe it's just Canada since Michele can find it.

Well at least they responded, even if they weren't all that informative:

Have you tried ordering from Walmart? I just checked and seems like they have a lot of options for Metamucil available for delivery

I have checked Walmart.ca and no Metamucil is in stock. I am not going to order from the States. It's not life or death. Thanks for checking though!

Is it the unflavoured powder? Try Rexall drugs.

Well, my husband ended up buying a generic brand. I'll choke that down and try again when that gets low. Maybe I'll have my coupon by then...

Did you look on amazon? There’s no shortage in my area. I agree the genetics aren’t as good. They seem to be either off-tasting or gritty.

Yes I looked on Amazon.ca. What country are you in? It seems that the shortage is only in Canada, not the US.

Got another email from Metamucil, after I gave them my address. They are sending two $2 coupons. Big whoop. I'd hoped for a free container or at least 50% off.
