Re Suprep, I had colonoscopy 8/28/20 and since then, my lower left abdominal pain is lasting each episode 2-3 hours - more than double prior to colonoscopy. Doctors have no explanation for pain. My moderate Crohns on terminal ileum do not explain. I have lost 25 pounds and was thin built to begin with. Eat liquid breakfast and less than 1/2 food of prior, due to debilitating pain. Have given up coffee; only water.have given up all heavy foods snd eat mostly cooked vegetables and sometimes a little salmon. I am so weary of pain and putting life on hold and spending so much extra time lying down when pain is most severe. Have asked Gastro to refer me to dietician, but two month wait. Any ideas, please?

I have no idea what that is. Typically people recover after 1-2 days. Any new medications or supplements after the colonoscopy? Maybe you also have IBS and it got exacerbated by the exam? I have daily abdominal pain maybe from IBS and find that IBgard helps me (over the counter) and heating pads are a must, use them daily. There are also alot of meds your GI can prescribe to take the edge off if the pain is too high. No need to suffer so much and be unable to eat much.

Another option is to try the FODMOP diet. It's a evidence-based diet for IBS and stomach issues/pain.

I had a dull pain(Right side of the abdomen) that started 3-4 days after the colonoscopy that lasted for around a month. I could feel the pain much more while twisting my waist/running etc. Are you taking supplements like Boswellia/Curcumin? They do help a lot of people here.
