Left side discomfort

I keep having discomfort on the left side of my abdomen. I would say it is between my hips and ribcage. It feels slightly tender to touch, especially on my back. The tenderness is to the far left side of my back. If I put my hand on my side, I think it is only about as far as my thumb wraps around, if that makes sense. I have noticed the past couple of days, I feel full after I eat and uncomfortable. Has anyone experienced this or know what could be causing it?
