I was wondering if anyone tried Seed probiotic https://seed.com

I am considering giving a try for 3-4 months but want to make sure if $50/month is worth spending. In the past, probiotics didn't show any benefit for me, but they all were either single for 4-5 species/strain mix. This has loads many with different researched functions, hence considering giving a try.

Thanks in advance.

My opinion...probiotics are a benefit.
Being worth it is subjective...give it a shot. 3 months should be enough time to see if they are of value to you.

Keep us updated.

I've just read it and to be honest, it looks a bit 'seedy' to me - too much generalizations and smooth talking without mentioning the actual contents of the probiotic, but I may be wrong smile

Higher quality probiotics generally require refrigeration. This one doesn't require refrigeration so i'm not sure how effective it would be.

I'm sure you've tried visbiome then if you tried many probiotics.

Help!
After being on some serious antibiotics treatment, my gut microbial clearly got pretty wiped out. How is that supposed to come back by itself? One can logically assume that some microbes Got exterminated completely. And one can also logically assume that the probiotics cannot possibly contain all the necessary strains to keep a healthy balanced guy flora. Or are they?
Not to mention the probiotic’s challenges to reach the gut and be completely effective.
My question: do you go with just 1 type? Mix up probiotics? Which one you think is more complete / wholesome?

I’m 3 days into VSL#3 - seeing very slow progress.
Is my guess correct that VSL#3 helps us get to a stable place and the rest of the gut microbes we need we’ll get them from our diet, fruits, veggies, yogurt, etc?

As long as gut diversity is in tact, even if some species only have very small amounts left, their makeup can be altered with prebiotics. Prebiotics are way more important than probiotics.

The only probiotics that have proven ability to move UC toward remission are: : L. rhamnosus gg, L. plantarum 299v, and S. boulardii. I've taken all of these with benefit. I also like Megaspore's product, the spore based probiotics, but you have to start really slow, like 1/8th of a pill slow.

Other than that, prebiotics are where it's at, to feed the short-chain fatty acid (SCFA) producers, which make butyrate, which feeds the colonocytes and also suppresses hydrogen peroxide, the root cause of UC.

I try to avoid antibiotics when possible but when they are unavoidable I take plenty of probiotics including Saccharomyces Boulardii.

S. Boulardii has a proven track record of preventing diarrhea but most importantly it is not a bacteria like most probiotics, but it is a probiotic YEAST. That means it is completely immune from being destroyed by antibiotics.

Thank you! I am looking for these probiotics on amazon, i get this feeling that some of these products on amazon are not trustworthy. where do you buy yours?
And thank you for getting my attention to prebiotics - i have been doing the basics, such as oatmeal, apples, bananas, which is not enough. i'm gonna start expanding on prebiotics

Hi what brand of these do you buy? Because I tried the couple from Amazon and I felt that made me worse now that I’m recuperating from a flare
