Check the Generic "Shire Brand"(Does not say Lialda on the bottle). That is what I use now.

You can get generic sulfasalazine for $20 a month even if you had to pay 100 percent out of pocket for it.

Here's a link to the prices of the various mesalamines

My insurance won’t cover brand name lialda at all anymore. I was fine until my pharmacy switched from the shire generic to NorthStar’s generic. After a few months of ups and downs I switched to generic Colazal. 9 pills a day is a pain in the butt however I have felt so much better since I switched to colazal. I have been able to taper off of my every other day SfRowasa too. It has been a pleasant and far less expensive surprise!

FYI, ipoop, sulfasalazine is not equivalent to Lialda! It's sulfa-bonded and that causes side effects, including ocular photosensitivity, to many of us. / Old Hat (40 yrs with left-sided UC; in remission taking Colazal)

I figured i would go to generic lialda.
But I would like to transition over slowly. Thinking 1 lialda/ 1 generic for say 2 weeks. Before i switch over to generic. Couple years ago insurance wouldn’t cover lialda once generic came out. I started taking generic the next day. Within 2 days guy welt weird and i worried of relapse. Had to get a DAW fir lialda. Maybe was all in my head. But I seriously hope generic lialda works. Thank you

What country do you live in that you were getting Lialda for $60 for 360 pills? This must have been with insurance right?

$800 for 360 is much more in line with the best price you can get for generic Lialda in the United States without an insurance payment. GoodRX shows the cheapest price around me as $884 for 360.

I buy them overseas from a PharmacyChecker.com pharmacy, only slightly sketchy, $280 for 360, and consider that a very good deal.
