I’m at 15% functioning, lots of bloating for years and dumping yellow stool ,nausea and some pain , I saw the doctor today and it recommended I have it out that it might help with the bloating, nausea,
Has anyone had their out and had surgery and had relief of bloating or acid reduction?
Thank you

Still have mine... but if it's not working and causing problems, seems a logical go to have it out.

I posted to you in the GERD forum awhile back. Like you, I did not have stones but my gallbladder was not functioning as it should. I ignored my symptoms longer than I should have & wished I had acted sooner. It got rid of the bloating, pain, nausea & just a nasty overall feeling every time I ate. The worst part about
the surgery is the gas they use to expand things inside. I was told to walk, then walk some more & sure enough it got rid of the gas.
Take care.

Hi there.
I had my gallbladder out and I am glad I did. Prior to the surgery I couldn't get through a meal without feeling nausea. It completely disappeared after I had my gallbladder out. I don't know the level at which my gallbladder was functioning, but I never had a proper gallbladder attack.. I had it out based on my symptoms and ultrasound results which only showed one stone, but surgeon said afterward that is was very sick and full of sand. It did not, alas, cure my acid reflux or bloating which I believe have other causes.
I had the Da Vinci Robotic procedure about
five years ago.. It consisted of one very small incision over my navel. It healed very quickly. The scar is practically invisible though my navel is a different shape and the whole thing was so undramatic that this past fall while preparing for abdominal scan I was asked if I ever had abdominal surgery before and I said no, because I had forgotten I ever had the surgery.
