The coating isn't what would colour the water. I don't know what mesalamine oral you're taking. Is it brown? You can drop a pill in water for a day and see if the coating colour is enough to changemthe water colour.

Same colour as what I take...never had that issue.

I still think it's stool or bile in the stool (which causes stool to be brown).
