I find that mornings are the worst for me with urgency. Within a minute or so of ingesting anything (or occasionally just smelling food), I will have to rush to the bathroom. I often have to go to the bathroom very soon after eating, or sometimes even in the middle of a meal. This is especially pronounced during a flare. If I don't have sudden urgency with eating, then I feel like that signals the flare is getting better.

The urgency really is a terrible thing. Fear of an accident is awful!

Yes, mornings with numerous bms, urgency, rectal spasming, white knuckling during bms and continual nausea.

Yes, urgency is The Pits-- no matter when or where. Besides finding the most helpful med(s) & diet, the next best thing you can do for yourself is to buy a pack or 2 of TENA disposables. Especially when you need to be away from home they can lower your fear level. Also, it's far easier to chuck a soiled disposable than to wash bloody mucus or stool out of one's clothing. / Old Hat
