So I've been flaring bad for about 3-4 weeks now.
This time the Dr. Has put me on Endocort rather than prednisone as I asked if there was anything milder than pred. I have re started Imuran in hopes it picks up where it left off after a round of steroids.
It def doesn't work the same as pred. It's been 5 days. Much less urgency, but still mixture of partially formed and loose stools. Also kind of nauseous most of the day.
Is this normal for endocort to take some time?
Every loose stool makes me stress and I know that's not helpful, but it's hard to feel like I'm healing while symptoms are present still.

Kind of still the same. Anyone else have any experience with this drug?

It does work slower than pred, you are seeing some improvement which is a plus. Give it more time & your right stressing yourself out doesn't help. I was on years ago for crohns & it took 2 weeks for me really see some improvements.

Take care.

Thank you Susie. That helps me relax a bit.
It's been one week.

I know stress helps not at all but so much easier said than done right?

Always trying.

So I'm at 2 weeks today.
Have had a mix between semi formed and a couple of loose stools. Imuran at 50mg going on 3 weeks now.
I know it takes time for Imuran to begin to do anything again.
I'm supposed to start to taper Entocort in the next couple of days but I don't feel like that's smart.
I am wanting to contact my doctor and see what I should do nex - thoughts?

I've also been trying this GAPS diet suggested by a naturopath but it's SO HARD to follow and my guts have been worse since I started it.
Frustrated.
