Hello,

Lately here in the US it seems that more and more "Wellness" clinics are popping up. They do peptide therapy, along with hormone replacement, and vitamin infusions.

Wondering if any on here have tried such treatment with UC while taking a biologic medication?

I'm currently flaring taking 40 mg of pred and also trying to get my levels back above 15 on entyvio. (It is my understanding that to retain remission on Entyvio, the level of medication needs to be 15 or above in your blood.)

I believe peptides are similar to biologics but I'm not well versed.. I don't want anything to interfere with medications but read very interesting things about peptide therapy.

Appreciate your responses!

Biologics (or antibodies) are very long peptides called proteins. Maybe you're referring to shorter antimicrobial peptides, but they wouldn't work the same way as biologics, which need to take on proper three-dimensional shapes to work properly.
