I take two tablespoons of psyllium seed powder twice per day and it seems to help. How many others are on a regimen like this and for how long?

This is the one that I use, what about you? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZSTNW26?ref=ppx_pt2_dt_b_prod_image

Are there any other powders that you take to help with your Ulcerative Colitis? I've added cacao powder to my routine as well and I'm looking for others that can also be beneficial.

Thanks in advance for the input!

Members have been discussing pseed for years, it is a wonder drug for me. Below is one of many threads about it. Another herb that many like is slippery elm.

I tried it for six months and it did absolutely nothing for my flare.

Neither Cacao powder nor P.Husk suits me unfortunately though I have read many good things about P.Husk

I've tried it but it goes right through me, literally within a few hours. I know it's supposed to feed good bacteria but I don't get how it can do that if it transits so quickly.

Any advice on how to take it? I put it in some water and drink it before it absorbs all the water.

Pseed has always helped me but I was always hesitant to take it straight with water because it tastes terrible. I only took it when I was desperate.

But I discovered it can be more palatable by mixing a spoonful in my morning oatmeal. I cook the porridge with a little more water than normal which will absorb the psyllium seed powder and some frozen blueberries that are added after the oats are done.

I have been using Starwest psyllium seed powder for years. Take 2 tbsp each morning. I started out taking husk but it didn't agree with me.

I does taste like dirt so I mix mine 5 parts psyllium to 1 part Metamucil. That really helps the taste
