Today I had my Remicade increase because I guess I metabolize it really quickly. No antibodies. What causes this? Is it more dangerous when the increase the level or does it not matter if my body seems to kick it out quickly? They have had me getting Remicade every 6 weeks the past 3 infusions.

I am also wondering if Remicade can cause lasting muscle pain. I have been feeling this in my legs for some.

How quick your body clearances blood born proteins varies a lot among us. Yours is just faster than average, no issues related to that at all. It's like the same with other blood given medicine that has a long half-life like remicade does (stelara, entyvio and others are the same).

Generally no higher odds of side effects at higher doses. Antibodies against remicade are what gives one higher odds of side effects (you said none, do no worries): joint aches, rashes, fever like temps, etc.

We have higher odds of joint pains as an extra-intestinal manifestation of IBD.

Thank you. I’m just finally getting back to these emails. Yes I’m having significant joint pain. I think the flare is starting to calm down a little bit.
