Hi everyone, been dx with UC back in 2015. Was doing quite fine since the last flare in 2018, but in late February started feeling lots of pain in sigmoid, mucus, poorly formed stool etc. Eventually started bleeding and at one point was bleeding large clots at the beginning of March.

Escalated all the meds and supplements (rectal & oral mesalazine, qing dai, boswellia, omega-3, probiotics, low residue diet etc) and my symptoms reduced significantly. For about 3-4 days bleeding stopped entirely. Now weirdly bleeding is returning with streaks, but no mucus, stool well formed and basically no big pain. I have transient fatigue, some nights waking up with hot flashes and anxiety, but probably this is caused by stress since I'm constantly worried it could be polyps or something worse. I have colonoscopy scheduled in about 6 weeks. My calprotectin came back under 60 (50 is upper range), but this was done during few days when bleeding stopped entirely. CRP negative, ESR is ok, blood work ok.

Have any of you encountered something like this – just bleeding, without mucus production and no urgency/pain? Thanks

What you are describing doesn't sound out of the normal to me. I have experienced bleeding without the other symptoms during a gastroenteritis infection
It could be that flare is ending if your bm's are reducing in number too?
CRP numbers takes a few weeks to stabilize so I don't think it would shoot up too much in a matter 3-4 days.
May be wait and watch this week and try to be on a healing diet till then?
If CRP, ESR are ok and WBC and Platelets are not high, I would tend to guess that whatever set you off on the flare is waning.
You could try going for a calcprotectin test to be at ease or just wait till the colonoscopy and see if everything stabilizes in the meantime.

Lots of soothing soundtracks on You Tube for anxiety.
Also drop a few drops of Lavender essential oil on your pillow before you go to bed at night to help you relax and sleep better
