Hi everyone, I noticed a post some years ago (2013) with this same topic. Hoping some of those same people are still around or anyone else can attest to this reaction. It sounds like we may have some things in common.——I wasn’t sure if I post on an old thread If it brings it back to the front page??

Anyway, I have been in 1000mg mesalamine suppositories for about 45 days now. 2 days ago I woke up with the itchiest toes- felt like athletes foot if you’ve ever had that. Kind of burns when you scratch but you can’t stop. Further inspection showed little red bumps, I found more on my upper thighs. And a few scattered here and there. Now this morning I wake very early scratching my wrists, elbows and ankles. Wth. I thought maybe i have chiggers in my yard. But my kids have been playing out there everyday and have nothing. It’s more of a rash than hives. I’ve had hives before, this is different. It’s also strange that it is localized around my joints. Thanks again.

Hi Taylor, in a different thread I think it was IPoop that commented & asked if you had tried an antihistamine for this? If you haven't, I would give it a try to see if it helps. Some of the meds will do this & often an antihistamine will take care of it.

Good luck.
