I loved Entyvio. I was in complete remission when I was on it. Sadly it stopped working for me, but many others have been on it for years. If you have tried all the rectal and oral meds Entyvio is a great choice. It can take a while to work so it's good that you aren't flaring badly right now.

Let us know how it goes.

Entyvio wasn't the drug for me BUT i had a badly ulcerated rectum with urgency for 3 years and it has healed itself (thanks to xeljanz) so yes you can heal after years of inflammation.

Been on entyvio for 4 years and am happily in remission! No side effects. Had infusion #29 2 days ago as a matter of fact.

Flower Gal,
I am wondering how quickly did you turn the corner on entyvio and was your symptoms as you commenced it?
Thanks,
Hugo

I was very sick when I started entyvio. Had lost 25 lbs and was under 100 lbs. I was steroid dependent. I was in complete symptomatic remission (absence of physical symptoms) around month 4. But in those 4 months I was able to successfully wean off prednisone and had a gradual decrease in symptoms. So while 4 months may sound like a long while I wasn’t bedridden and running to the bathroom after each sip of water or bite of food. During those 4 months and for some time after I continued with rectal meds. A colonoscopy after 4 months did show some microscopic inflammation but the next one did show no active inflammation.
