Hi everyone.

So I'm currently on Azathioprine 200mg for the last 2 years + Mezavant 1.200mg x4 pills daily + Omeprazole and a few supplements such as Vitamin C, glutamine, Omega 3, Vitamin D and B.

So for the last 5 months Ive been bleeding with every BM. Couple of months ago I had a scope done and the diagnosis was inflammation in the last 4 CM's. This is down from pan colitis which was my original diagnosis before starting Imuran.

After retention eremas, and foam and a 40 day Pred. taper from 30mg. I had pretty much no improvement.

Ive been off the Pred for about a month now and just treating the flare with 2 Salofalk 1g suppositories. Morning and night. This has been going very well, or unless I thought..

Ive had like 2 weeks with no blood yet a couple days ago after a slight push, saw it. Then a couple days ok, and today, with a push came a squirt and drips of blood.

This makes me wonder if I ever was blood-free for the 2 weeks prior or just simply not seeing it due to not pushing (the suppositories kind of help not having to push 95% of the time).

I don't know what else to try aside from diet at this point. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
1Wish

Sounds like an internal hemmie(s) problem, rather than flaring. The key word in your description seems to be "push". Those devils can drip or spurt blood when aggravated from downward pushes to force bms out. Journey to Heal has recently posted about similar issues in case you want to read her thread. / Old Hat (40+ years with left-sided UC)
