High dose retinol (active vitamin A) combined with vitamin D and magnesium usually get me out of severe flare territory. I get my retinol from taking beef liver capsules every single day. I get magnesium from injections (though you could use oral pills or liquid), and I get my D3 mostly from sunshine, but in the winter I use cod liver oil.
I think retinol is key to ending flares and regulating serious auto-immune. I've read so many good things about it and have used this method to help myself. In fact, it's when I stop taking retinol that I become more prone to flares.
