Hello all,

I'm into about my 4th month of Xeljanz, thank God it worked. And have shown up with pretty elevated liver enzymes.

I have, in fact, cut back on wine consumption just to be kind to my gut, only have a few glasses on the weekend.

Doc swears this is not a usual side effect - any opinions?

Also - as predicted and is noted in side side effects, my cholesterol has shot up. My GP recommended omega 3, 500 mg twice a day before heading to a statin. I am taking Carlson fish oil as I cannot take those MASSIVE omega capsules. Anyone had success with this - and / or - did it loosen your bowel?

It might not be a common side effect but if it wasn't a risk they wouldn't need to check your liver enzymes regularly, i presume?

My cholesterol went up in the first few months on xeljanz then stabilised. The Dr hasn't bothered to check it for a year..perhaps i should ask...
