Has anyone on this forum ever had experience with trying the Brigg's protocol?

I've had pancolitis UC for about 11 years now; my last scope in 2019 showed mild colitis, with no dysplasia. Although clinical remission is far different than symptomatic remission, since I started the protocol (thoroughly not skipping any recommendations) I feel better than I ever have in my life, even on the outside. I'd say even better before the disease....yeah. My diet hasn't really changed much; I follow some form of SCD.

I find it extremely interesting when he discusses gluten in the podcast, especially touching on the quick/instant yeast part. I will share it below and I highly recommend a listen to anyone suffering from UC/Crohn's. A lot of what he talks about really resonates all the way home, especially about research, funding, pharma etc. It is by far the most interesting and detail oriented approach I've ever heard to achieving a true remission. I've heard a ton of flugaze nonsense in the past 11 years, but this is an approach to seriously consider, flaring or not.

I believe this man is an absolute genius and has done some real hard work to piece this all together. I am still trying to grasp a lot of the paper to have a deeper understanding, cause geez, this stuff fly's over my head easily.

In my opinion, I think it is one of the most amazing pieces of information for bowel disease out there I've ever heard. If only your gastro would speak to you in this way and was actually this hungry in trying to fix you...and I mean really fix you.

Please anyone suffering, just have a listen from beginning to end, give it your undivided attention and keep an open mind, as it could change your life.

The doctor also has an amazing channel with a TON of helpful information.

He briefly mentions that when some psychiatrists switched their patients from their old antidepressants to Bupropion, (aka Wellbutrin), that some with Crohn's disease went into remission.

Funny. Didnt do the Bupropion, enema's (transplants, etc.) along with other recommendations he made to get inflammation under control. I started in his phase 2 and made my own enteric coated phosphatidylcholine capsules, etc. Basically did everything he recommended for phase 2.

ramaNYC, Briggs is not a dr & currently there is no cure for UC. If his protocol helps you that's good news.

Briggs is a PhD, not an MD. If you search through the forums there was quite a lot of info about this protocol 5 or so years ago. (It may be even longer) I don’t think anyone achieved full remission following it but bits and pieces of it have helped folks out if I remember correctly.
