restarting remicade

Hello any one stop remicade for 6 months and restart was wondering how it went . I tried entyvio for 6 months and cant take the constant side effects no life with that drug so now im gonna go back on the remicade my GI switched me due to 2 minor flares IMO wrong move

What were your side effects? I am on Entyvio and have none.

It's not particularly common. Higher odds of antibody formation and infusion reaction, so make sure you take premeds like Tylenol and an antihistamine.

Did you have the 2 flares when you were on remicade? With remicade the dosage and frequency cam be adjusted to a max of 10 mg every 4 weeks. If that was the dose you were on when you flared then I suspect you will flare again when you go back on it so maybe a different med would be better. If you weren't on the max dose when you flared you might want to discuss that with your doc.
