I have not had covid that I know of. Had the Moderna vaccines in March/April this year (caused bad flare), but the antibodies are already gone.

My intuition says to skip the booster due to flare risk, but the risk of long-haul issues is serious and more permanent. Wondering if anyone found a work-around, such as going from Moderna to Pfizer, etc...

Thanks!

I would like to know the answer to this as well. I haven't gotten a booster yet for the same reason.

Sara - I'm so hesitant. I have too much on my plate to be glued to the bathroom. I wish I knew if I could get covid without long-term issues. But, the consequences of being wrong on that bet, though small, are huge.

Same here, Thoreau. I still have antibodies from the vaccine as of labwork a few weeks ago, but the test didn't quantify them, it just said "positive for antibodies." I'm not sure why my GI ordered that test (maybe it was a mistake?) because he then told me it didn't tell us enough information and recommended for me to get my booster.

Thoreau,

Seems that there are more side-effects from the Moderna vaccine than with the Pfizer vaccine in the general population. There is less of the vaccine agent in the Pfizer dose so that's why they think there is fewer reactions.

Maybe ask your GI if it is advisable to switchover to Pfizer. They are now allowing people to do that.
