Feeling a tad miserable at moment with my UC....just wondering for those enjoying better times now...what was your game-changer?....the 1 or 2 things that really moved you from suffering to living???

It wasn't perfect for me but getting surgery really improved my quality of life. I was begging for it at the very end.

Remicade worked well for me for about 4 years and then nothing really worked for me. 6-mp was okay.

Enyvio -- unfortunately that didn't last very long. Now Remicade and I am in complete remission and hope to be for the rest of my life smile

Humira. Granted, I’m 63 and just diagnosed this year. But, 10 mos. ago, I could not stay out of the bathroom.

Knock on wood, I don’t feel sick at all right now and wouldn’t even know i have UC.

(My stomach does hurt most days. The doc said he thought that is my large intestine. But all labs good and mostly good, once a day BM’s).

Stelara and trying to avoid inflammatory foods as well as trying to eat anti-inflammatory foods, esp. no more alcohol.

Hugo18, fellow Canadian here (pretty sure I saw somewhere you're Canadian...) in a very similar place to where you were a few months ago. Recently upped to monthly Stelara and it's helped a bit but still a long ways from remission. How did you go about convincing your doctor & insurance to add on Rinvoq to Stelara?

Xeljanz was the game changer for my husband. Nothing but prednisone seemed to do anything. Nice thing about Xeljanz was that if it’s going to work, it is pretty apparent within a few weeks. He is now 6 years total remission!
