I am seeing little blood from last 5,6 months. Its just little blood mostly on 2nd BM. I only have 2 bm's per day. Right now i am on 3.6g of mes and 125mg of Aza( was on 100mg 2 months ago) i have been taking mes supp. From last 3,4 months and took cortisol enema few months ago for 15 days and now its been 14 days i am taking it again but i still see little blood. I have no D or pain. My Hb level is 13.1 ( it was 12 few months ago) my doc said keep its not serious and keep taking suppositories. Do you think it will go away? Its been almost 6 months like this. My last scope which was 3 months ago showed inflammation 15cm from rectum. Stools are well formed.

Hi, I'm dealing with the same.

Bit of background. I was diagnosed with pancolotis 3 years ago, first year I was just on Pentasa (mesalazine) then had to move up to Azathioprine a year later. Back then it was mainly stomach pain, diarreah, mucus and a little blood.
Since about a year and a half almost, I have been bleeding daily, with every bowel movement. It literally drips in the bowl.

This also causes pain afterwards in the anal passage I assume, that throbs and radiates to the genital area. If I have to go more than once, it gets worse, I can only assume because the first one opened the sores and the 2nd or 3rd rub on it... then again how would I know when I can't actually see what's going on..

During a year of this, I Have been on rectal meds, starting with retention, then foam, then suppositories. Ive been on the mesazaline suppositories nightly and budesonide foam in the morning for 5 months now and still bleed daily.

I've also been on 1.200mg x 4 daily of Mesalazine oral (Mezavant) for the last 8 months or so.

My GI also did mention its limited to the last 4cm and is tough to treat but not serious. this is hard for me to believe when I see blood dripping everyday but ok..

I have an appointment scheduled with a GI that will hopefully approve a biologic because like you, I don't know what else I can do.

Diet always comes to mind and cabbage juices etc but then I think how the hell is that going to fix the last 4cm thats inflamed if even rectal meds don't do it, Steroids included (foam)

Mine is not heavy bleeding. If you don't pay close attention you will miss it. My GI also told me that its not serious and i don't have any other UC symptoms rn not even pain while passing stools. Hope you will get Better soon. He said as long as you are having well formed stools you don't have to worry about it much. I haven't been on steroids from so long and he is also trying to keep me away from these.
