High Inflectra Levels / No Antibodies / But Flaring

Hey there,

Is there anyone with experience with this? I've been in remission with Inflectra for a couple years now (it's worked wonderfully) and suddenly flaring, yet my levels are high and no antibodies. My doc said sometimes this happens that it's not that the medicine isn't working but rather, my body found a different way to cause inflammation. In which case, we'd have to switch from biologics to a different drug class altogether. I guess I just haven't heard of this. Has it happened to anyone out there? I just got another Inflectra infusion, am on prednisone and Uceris. Hoping I can get out of this and continue on Inflectra without the switch.

Thoughts?

Everyone flares eventually. Doesn't necessarily mean you failed that med. Try a short course of Prednisone or budesonide and see if that's enough?
