Has anyone had any luck preventing hair loss from prednisone

Nope. Hair loss also can be from your flare. It will grow back. Just be patient and use gentle shampoo and don’t shampoo every day. As you improve so will the health of your hair.

I second flowers statements! There is little to nothing you can do to prevent hair loss. It usually kicks in for me 3 months into a flare up but eventually it does all grow back.

Add stress, low vitamin B & B12, not getting enough nutrients to the list of things that can cause hair loss too. As the others said, your hair will grow back.

How long on pred? And how long was your flare before starting it?

I’m one week into my second course. First was 8 weeks now another 8. B12 is fine, iron could be higher but I’ve noticed this loss with pred. My hair is below my bum
