Any suggestions on supplements or what to do to stop eating sweets? Sugar is not good for my UC and I know it, but I get cravings.
Thanks

The.....I wish I could help you. LOL I too, am a sweets lover and always have been. The best thing I did to help was to quit buying sweets to keep in our house. My wife is a great cook, but she tries to refrain from doing much baking and making things with lots of sugar. I quit drinking soda and replaced candy bars with a banana. If you REALLY crave something sweet, and there is only a banana close at hand...a banana tastes great. LOL Good luck with your quest.

When I cut out sugar (when I was really I’ll with UC—I’m back in it now😳) it took about 2 weeks and then the cravings stopped and I didn’t miss it so much. Artificial sweeteners are a UC no-no so I looked up no-sugar recipes for muffins and other baked goods. Most use honey or pure maple syrup as a substitute.

I did the same thing as geezer. I started keeping honey, yogurt and fresh fruit. I now drink diet caffiene free sodas.

I freeze my bananas whole..or mushed up..to use instead of ice cream. I keep sliced strawberries in the fridge plus fresh peaches, blueberries....

It's still a struggle.
