Finally after 16 years bleeding every single day , No blood, labs and crp excellent and what changes did I make?
Getting rid of constipation. Eating no beef and hardly any chicken
I had Lymes disease and I think I’m one of the ones , who tick bite made them allergy to red meat.
Senna is very harsh for me so I don’t use it alone, psyllium irritates my colon.
so I alternate magnesium, some products with senna combo, using my rectal meds and oral meds. But I do need some supplement to make me go. Maybe I have some paralysis going on in my digestive tract that’s not moving my stool along.
My NEW doctor is amazed since
u of m hospital said take out my colon and dropped me since I wouldn’t do it.
Moving my bowels has been a life saver.
I still need a MRI of small bowel to make sure everything is working right.
My stools are not pre UC, big and round pooping just one time, so there is some UC , stricture there. She said it’s Crohn’s because it’s deep in tissue and I had a fistula before. She also said stagnated stool can cause bleeding.
It’s been along time since feeling this great.

All good news...make sure you're supplementing for meat minerals and vitamins and taking in enough protein.

Lower bowel stimulator and Swiss Kriss and then I add in ducalax every other week.
I have to keep them moving or else I’m In Trouble . I don’t even think about my colon anymore: that’s the amazing part.
No need no chicken, fish is my friend.

Good for you!!

Red meat for me is pretty hard to digest. Pork chops.... not even an option anymore. I eat chicken and fish mostly. Although I can eat ground beef if I chew it thoroughly. It's sorta sad how my list of what I can eat continues to shrink.

I resorted to milk of magnesia to keep me moving. Once every other day. The others I had tried started making me nauseous so now I am back to this, plus daily SCD yogurt with fruit and home made granola. Lots of soups.

Sigh. I miss the days when I didn't have to even think about what I could eat--it was just what I was hungry for.
