Is it possible it could start working again after a break? I’m still using oral mezavant but this has done nothing to get me out of a flare so I’m not sure why I’m still on it. Would it be worth adding the Pentasa enema again? I’m still not out of this flare. No blood, pain or mucous but stool are like porridge with the occasional formed stool which lacks bulk. Currently using 2mg budenofalk enemas.

Always worth the try...what dosage were the Pentasa enemas, 1g, 2g, or 4g?

What about steroid foam enemas?

Depending on how tolerable your symptoms are, and whether you feel entyvio has helped so far, I would be tempted NOT to yo-yo with drugs that didn't work very well in the past. It just over complicates things. Especially when you're already taking a steroid enema.

I agree with Poopydoop. Stool improvement to consistency takes a lot of time when one has been majorly inflamed by UC. Porridge with some solid bms shows that you're making some progress toward regularity. The real issue is whether you have gotten rid of blood, mucus, and urgency on your present Rx meds. If so, you're better off sticking with them. "Bulk" should not be a huge concern except when/if constipation occurs. Try to stay positive! It's really a Big Deal that you got off Prednisone so you should congratulate yourself every day for achieving that. / Old Hat (40+ yrs with left-sided UC; in remission taking Colazal)
