The journey on Rinvoq continues. Yesterday (day 4) I was actually a bit constipated and there was no bowel movement. I got a little nervous because for me constipation is sometimes related to inflammation, esp. on the left side and rectum, where my UC has misbehaved the most throughout the years.

Today was day 5 and things went back to normal, as in a normal bm. So things continue to look good.

Just to clarify: I had been on Humira for about 5 years in remission. Started to flare and doctor ordered a calprotectin and medicine levels. Calpro was 6,000! and Humira therapeutic levels were low with developing antibodies. I went on a 40 mg. prednisone taper which I finished 10 days ago--and it certainly helped. Started Rinvoq 5 days ago and have been on rectal mesalamine for the last 3 weeks almost nightly.

Thanks for posting your progress! Really helpful for all of us to hear about a medication that’s so new.

Sometimes I get a day here and there where I don't go at all on Xeljanz. I get the same fear/worry response as you.
