Getting my Inflectra infusion tomorrow and it has me curious….Just for fun I’m curious what everyone’s infusion day routines are.
Mine is pretty boring. I go to my infusion and usually come home and nap or lay around the rest for the day because it makes me so tired.
What’s your routine? Do you rest? Treat your self in some way? Go back to work? Do something fun?
Just curious what everyone does! 😊

I've only done three infusions so far, but since I have young kids and a busy job, I like the excuse to rest (otherwise it's hard for me to justify slowing down). For my second infusion I spent the day watching most of season two of Bridgerton. ;) It was a nice diversion.

I'm also trying to hydrate super well and eat super nourishing food, just be gentle with my weary body. But not be TOO still, because movement helps my achy joint issues.

I read in another group about a man who always schedules a massage for infusion day. That sounded like a gorgeous luxury.

Most of the time I work after the infusion. Sometimes I take the afternoon off and do errands or relax, but usually I have the infusion in the morning and work in the afternoon. I do have a routine at the infusion center -- I take a book and read. I get a blanket and pillow and kick back in the heated, massaging recliners ... get a snack (always a diet pepsi and cheezits lol). I am at the infusion center for 3 hours and just relax during that time,

Entyvio infusions are quick — a 30 minute drip. Usually another 20-30 minutes to check in and get set up.

I take my phone and tablet - either play games or read. My guilty pleasure is Starbucks so I usually get a coffee on the way. I drink about 16-20 ounces of water on the way there too as I’ve found it helps my veins. I have small weird veins that shoot off in weird directions so IVs can be tough on me. Thankfully I’ve been getting my infusions for 5 years now with the same nurses and they know my veins so it hasn’t been an issue having to stick me more than once usually.

Afterward I usually run some errands. By evening I sometimes feel pretty tired — other times I don’t notice it at all.

A 3 hr infusion would surely make me tired after though. Because of my veins I have to be careful and not move my arm much during the infusion or it sets off the pump alarm.

I do not go for infusions anymore but when I did then I would do them on a Friday afternoon around 1 PM. I would go home and sleep it off and wake up the next day. I'd pick up chinese food on the way home - it was the only time that I'd ever eat chinese food. I don't know why, but I always wanted chinese food after my infusions.

Chinese food definitely sounds like a good way to treat yourself afterward!

I always want a candy bar after but never have one and never stop to get one, this time I got one ahead of time since I know I’ll be craving one after I’m done.
