Well, had my dreaded 3 year colonoscopy today. The prep was as awful as ever but the procedure went well. Thank God for anesthesia. LOL Results were a 5mm polyp in cecum. It was sessile and removed. Also, inflammation...edema, erythema and friability were found. Moderate in severity. Doc took biopsies and told me to come to his office Monday for follow up and meds as well as blood and poop testing. sheesh So all....I am not too bright but assume this means I'm in a flare with infection of some type. Here we go again. Stay well and safe all and have a great weekend.

Fingers crossed the flare is mild and quickly resolved it’s good your doc is being proactive! Knock it back before it gets worse! Let us know what his advice is

Impressive you'll be seeing your GI on Monday! Please let us know the extent of inflammation, if it's infection, and what meds you're prescribed. I hope the polyp and biopsies results are benign...I suspect they won't be in for a few weeks?

I had 2 polyps in the hepatic flexure removed...hoping they're only hyperplasia pseudopolyps. Weird tho, since I don't have inflammation there. Biopsies results on Tuesday...

Geezer & Quincy -- hope the biopsies of the polyps come back as benign for you both!

From my understanding -- polyps are fairly common -- even for non IBD patients. Certain types are more prone to be cancerous than others, but the pathology report will give you more info for sure.

Geezer -- did you have any signs of a flare? If Entyvio isn't keeping you in remission, there are a lot of other options I am sure your doc will discuss with you.

Sorry to hear. How did your appointment Monday go? Did he say infection based off what he saw?

Hi all...sorry for not replying sooner but I still haven't gotten my lab results. All I can do is wish all of you the very best for now and thank you for ...being here. Doc has me on prednisone right now, which I do hate, but sure makes me feel GREAT. LOL oh....except for the funny tingly finger tips, chewing of my lips, foggy eyes and fuzzy thinking. Yup, dat prednisone is some goood stuff. ROFL At least I can go out with my wife without too much fear of sharting myself. sheesh The joys of this crappy illness. Doc did do testing for antibodies to Entyvio as well as all of the other stool and blood tests. Time shall tell, but for now....you guys just feel good and enjoy every day all ya can. They do go by SO quickly.

Hi Old....no, I only take a multi-vitamin. They do check my levels though and all 'seem' to be fine for now. Stay well and safe.
