MAB In fusion while on Entyvio

Diagnosed with Covid and symptoms were getting worse so went to urgent care and they recommended the MAB Infusion. I have been on Entyvio since March. Just checking to see if anyone has had any issues when doing this treatment??

I haven't personally heard much about that Covid treatment, but if you are getting worse I would give it a try.

How long since you started to have Covid symptoms? If still within 5 days see if you can get Paxlovid. That is an oral antiviral and I know 2 people personally who took it and said within 24 hours they had dramatic improvement. Neither had IBD though. But Entyvio doesn't have a lot of interactions with other meds so I would feel safe if it was me.

My father had a MAB infusion for covid two weeks ago but he doesn't have UC. He was not a candidate for Paxlovid because of some other meds he takes, but he responded very well to the MAB infusion. Within 24 hours his symptoms were 80% improved.

Maybe MAB is monoclonal antibodies? I know of someone who got those several months ago and also dramatically improved their covid symptoms but don’t know if they have any form of IBD though.

I know someone else with pancreatic cancer who got covid and they did not give him paxlovid, which I didn’t understand, but then I read that paxlovid should not be used in someone with liver concerns. So just speculating that since biologics require live and kidney monitoring that could be a reason to not prescribe?
