Thanks, Clo. Finally feeling better today, but still not 100%. Just read an article that says that some people who have side effects get better antibody response. Who knows if it's true but sounded good to me!

Hope you daughter and family recover completely from their bouts with Covid

Checking in here with report on my bivalent COVID booster given a few days ago: so far, so good, and fingers still crossed. Following my 3rd shot last winter I did sprout a fever on the 2nd evening post-injection, then on Day 5 after shot I developed nasty stiffness with aching in sacrum. Luckily that subsided thanks to a couple applications of 30% salicylate lotion onto lower back. Latest health reports I've seen claim that Omicron #4 & 5 variants now are less problematic in USA than a couple new ones emerging from Omicron #1.5 or thereabouts in the numerical scheme. So I conclude that it still makes sense to avoid crowded indoor places with poor ventilation through this coming winter, also to mask up on mass transit. *** BTW for Clo: RE your comment about demanding a lollipop post-shots-- that's actually beneficial, according to a young MD resident who monitored my 1st COVID injection watch-site at urban medical center. He said that raising one's blood sugar helps the body to readjust following initial entry of injected chemical(s) into it. For that purpose he was distributing small graham-cracker packets + 8 oz. bottled water to us in the watch-site. Since then I've helped myself with an oatmeal-raisin cookie stashed in purse! / Old Hat (40+ yrs with left-sided UC; in remission taking Colazal)

I get one at a time and have to think about it each time. (I am Such a wuss....I even ask for a sucker after each shot...)
Clo

I got a sticker with a cat on it that says "I was brave" after my covid booster. Lol. Yes, they were out for kids. And yes, I asked if I could have one.

Lol... You all made my day.

I absolutely needed a giggle. I am so glad that I'm not the only one that likes those stickers, snacks and Loli pops!

I went in to get my flu shot in Colorado and they said my insurance wasn't good there .. so went back to the other place but they'd used all their flu vaccinations. So disappointed. BUT.... Drumroll... I went into my Texas small pharmacy and they have them PLUS they have lollipops, stickers and a shiny pink flower ring!! Lol... I made an appointment for 2 weeks from now.

I just had my Remicade infusion today. How long do you have to wait? I thought I heard 2 weeks after the infusion... Because Remicade makes it so we don't have a response to the vaccine if given too soon after an infusion???

Regardless I've been wearing my N95 and looking at anyone that gets close to me with the evil eyes👀. LOL. But I don't have to worry. I'm in Texas now and when they see my mask coming the crowds sorta part in their own cause I'm the only one running around with one on. I do want to look at them for awhile and then suddenly yell "BOO". LOL.

Stay safe all!

Lollipops, stickers, and shiny pink flower ring! What! All I've ever gotten was a lollipop. At my last workplace they brought in a nurse for on-site flu shots and she had a big bucket of lollipops. For all us brave adults! smile

Love your mask story, LOL.

Wow, I'm jealous of your haul. I want a lollipop and ring.

I know your medications affect this. I am on Inflectra (fake Remicade), and my GI and primary have told me I should not take live vaccines.
