Hey Quincy, just checking on you. How is your hip doing since the injection?

We are waiting to hear from a dr for my husband to have back injections. He had surgery 2 years ago & is having quite an uptick with pain.

Hi Susie...the shots didn't help, but the dry needling has been amazing!
I'm still waiting for my hips MRI.

The therapist is awesome, and I'm grateful to have it available.
I'm going to continue through November...unfortunately, she is pregnant and will be on mat leave for a year after Dec 9.

My husband and I have Covid...I'm extremely angry, because he got it from a friend who knew he had sniffles and met him for coffee anyway. Didn't occur to his friend that he could have Covid. I loathe idiots...but it allows me to project my anger towards the source 😠

Thanks for the enquiry...šŸ¤—

Ooh, yes, I’m sorry about the Covid! I hope it resolves quickly and without any lasting nastiness.

And bless dry needling, eh? So glad you have that!

So sorry to hear you both have the virus. I hope you both recover real soon.

I am glad to hear you are getting relief with the dry needling. How often do you have to go? Any chance your lady can suggest a good person to help you while she is out on mat leave?

Keep us posted on how you are doing.

Hi all...thanks for the get well wishes! My husbnd is 11 days in and still testing positive...a frustrating time regarding appointments having to be delayed.

Regarding dry needling...I've gone 6 times...some 2 weeks apart, some one week. I'll discuss with her regarding someone who does it in case I need it while she's on mat leave. Good idea, Susie.

Hi, Quincy-- So sorry to read that you & hubby got COVID recently, and hope you're both recovering now w/o further nasties. Just FYI, I recently developed lower-left hip/thigh discomfort for the 2nd time (since early August bout) so I began to suspect the piriformis muscle-- based on what I had learned during PT sessions a few yrs back. Then I looked it up online, and found that Cleveland Clinic has put an informative article RE "piriformis syndrome" out there. You might find it interesting to have a look; that muscle runs between lowest spine to hip on each side & comes close to sciatic nerve. The nerve proximity was news to me! Take good care, eh? Also keep us posted. / Old Hat (40+ yrs with left-sided UC; in remission taking Colazal)

Hi OH...we're definitely doing much better, and my husband is negative as of today, and he'll check again tomorrow. I'm still testing positive, and hopefully will be the 3 days behind as was when I tested positive.

I suspected Piriformis was one of the issues as well with some of the pain pattern I experienced. My physio agreed, and the needling and exercises has definitely been of great help. The huge sigh of relief from having continual pain as well as sleep being of no discomfort has been awesome.
I hope your physio will be helpful...maybe try the dry needling if you aren't on any blood thinner meds?

Thank you for the good wishes šŸ¤—
