Happy Holidays All,
I haven't been on here for awhile. I have been "destressing."
Sometimes reading these posts just scares the living s&@t outta me. I start wondering if this or that's gonna happen to me, I see UC and Crohn's hiding in every shadow, (just waiting to leap out and attack me.) and sometimes I start to notice the number of things and situations (barring the spiders and chickens) I'm encountering seem to be increasing rather than decreasing..... When that happens I take a break.
We all walk such a tight rope, navigating thru things that are unimaginable to most, while keeping hope in our hearts and our eyes forward looking for better days...all the while juggling everything else in our lives and dodging flaming missiles. I think IBD warriors are some of the bravest, most optimistic, helpful people I have ever encountered.... And determined....my oh my....such determination. You all amaze me.
Take a moment to pat yourselves on the back for your "grace under fire" ability to reach out to others while navigating your own difficult path. You all help others more than you know.
I appreciate each and every one of you. Sometimes it's an every day phrase, or a bit of advice, sometimes it's signing in and seeing all the familiar names, responses... Even the squabbling or gentle corrections.... It just feels like going to a friend's house where things are alittle bit better just because they are there with you to share your journey.
I hope Santa brings you all something extra special this year. For me.... I'm hoping he brings me several lumps of coal so I can keep warm..... LOL....
Stay well, safe and warm!
