No, nothing else has been started yet. My phone appt with GI is next Friday (Jan 27), and my scope is on Feb 8. I would think she will wait until after the scope to prescribe anything. But I want to discuss options with her when I am not loopy from the sedative, so I hope to do that during the phone appt.

I'll let you know what happens!

Please do!

I had my phone appointment with my GI. She seemed to feel that 4L of the Colyte would be sufficient.

Tried discussing med options with her but she just kept repeating "I have to see the extent of things before I can say". I kept pressing her and she mentioned prednisone if it was very inflamed. She does prescribe rectal meds but only if it is mild.

I told her I was very reluctant to take prednisone and suggested budesonide. She brushed by that at first, and kept repeating that we would discuss it post-scope. I said that I don't have my wits about me post-scope and often I don't remember anything she says. (If I have paper and pen with me I take notes, but sometimes she "discusses" things right after the scope before I am even wheeled away!) Anyway she finally said she would make note that I don't want to take prednisone and will consider an alternative, but it all depends on what she sees.
